School Registered Nurse
Job Summary
The E. John Gavras Center is seeking a School Nurse for our Inclusive Preschool.
The school nurse works the 10-month school year and six-week summer program and is paid all 26 bi-weekly pay periods.
The Registered Nurse is responsible to render health care to children, adults, and staff; advise and make recommendations to parents; assist staff physicians; prepare and review records in preparation for doctor's orders; conduct staff health assessments; monitor agency health needs; implement regulations of State Health Department; update charts and immunization records.
Education & Experience
AAS Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
Current New York State Registered Nursing license required.
Clearance from Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) which includes NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services, FBI, Statewide Central Register Database Check and NYS Justice Center.
Ability to provide documentation demonstrating that you are able to legally perform work in the United States.
Valid NYS Driver's License.
